Disclaimer:

Liability for content

The contents of our pages were created with the greatest care. However, we cannot assume any liability for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the content. As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on these pages pursuant to § 7 Abs.1 TMG under general law. According to §§ 8 to 10 TMG, however, as a service provider we are not obliged to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances that indicate illegal activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general law remain unaffected by this. Liability in this respect is, however, only possible from the time we become aware of a specific infringement. Upon becoming aware of corresponding legal violations, we will remove such content immediately.

Liability for links

Our website contains links to external third-party websites, the contents of which we have no influence over. Therefore, we cannot assume any liability for this external content either. The respective provider or operator of the pages is always responsible for the content of the linked pages. The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time the links were created. Illegal content was not recognizable at the time of linking. However, permanent monitoring of the content of the linked pages cannot reasonably be expected without concrete evidence of a legal violation. Upon becoming aware of legal violations, we will remove such links immediately.

Social media

Our websites integrate links to various social media platforms such as LinkedIn, ResearchGate, and YouTube. These are merely links to the corresponding presences of our institution or staff members on the respective platforms. When accessing the respective networks and platforms, the terms and conditions and the data processing policies of the respective operators apply.

Copyright:

The content and works created by the site operators on these pages are subject to German copyright law. Reproduction, editing, distribution, and any kind of use outside the limits of copyright law require the written consent of the respective author or creator. Downloads and copies of this page are permitted only for private, non-commercial use. Insofar as the content on this page was not created by the operator, the copyrights of third parties are respected. In particular, third-party content is identified as such. Should you nevertheless become aware of a copyright infringement, we kindly ask you to notify us accordingly. Upon becoming aware of legal violations, we will remove such content immediately.

Privacy Policy:

We attach great importance to the protection of your personal data and the safeguarding of your privacy. In principle, you can use our website without providing any personal data. Insofar as such data is collected, stored, or used, this is done on the basis of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz), the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz), and other applicable statutory provisions. The privacy policy below describes the collection, storage, and use of your personal data in connection with the use of the website https://www.mixality.de and measures for the protection of this data. Only the collection, storage, and use of your personal data described below will take place. Further information on the subject of data protection can be found on the privacy policy page of Hochschule Emden/Leer. If you have questions in connection with the collection, storage, or use of personal data, our data protection officer will be happy to assist you at any time.

Matomo:

The following data is collected, stored, and analyzed on this website for statistical purposes:

Browser type, operating system used, visitor’s country, time of access, duration of access, IP address (it is anonymized and deleted again after the visit), screen size, entry and exit pages.

For this purpose, the free web analytics tools AWStats and Matomo (formerly Piwik) are used. They analyze log files that web servers create based on visitor requests. The analysis does not use cookies. The statistical evaluation is carried out via the log files, which also contain IP addresses. In contrast to other web analytics tools, AWStats and Matomo do not transmit any data to an external server. The software is installed on the university’s own server. This also prevents the transfer of data abroad, as our server is located in Germany. By using our website, the visitor consents to the use of AWStats and Matomo. The data is not used to personally identify the visitor to this website.

IP Addresses:

The IP address is transmitted with every server request in order to enable communication between client and server. This individual IP address is temporarily stored during the session and could theoretically be used to identify the account holder. This process is technically necessary on every website. After the end of the session, the IP addresses are automatically deleted so that the recorded data is anonymous and can no longer be linked to the identity of the user.
